Coming up...

Just trying out a new lens on my hubby's SLR. We did some shots of my cards using a different background. The first two cards are already on this blog and the third in line is a quick peek of what's coming up next. Any guesses?

See you later this week

While more and more Christmas cards pop up on blogs, summer is still in full swing here. My hubby and I were on the road the last couple of weeks: family reunion in France, meeting friends in Tuscany and a city trip to Amsterdam. I love travelling but the best part of it is coming home.

I wanted to make a fresh start today with a simple woven card. I've been excessively surfing the internet for digis and found this elegant birthday sentiment. Got out some flower and leave punches and made small flowers. The papers in the woven background came with a papercraft magazine. The sentiment was die cut with Spellbinders Nestabilities Standard Circles Large and Scalloped Circle. I just had to go for the pink ribbon and the pleating is held in place with stitches.

Oddly, the first thing that came to my mind when this card was finished were memories of Hawai'i. Well, I hope you still have your summer holidays ahead of you and something to look forward to!

I worked on another new woven design today which I'll share later this week.

Happy holidaying everyone!

Please mind the gap
