Pretty gift box

Happy spring, everyone! I'm usually for the colder season, although this year I like spring time so much more because of our blossoming garden. There is always a surprise for us when we look outside the window. It started with the pansies and crocus, next were the tulips and now the bluebells.

Talking about spring and flowers... I made this simple but pretty gift box using my free stamp set from Cardmaking & Papercraft issue 129. I'm not the flower & butterfly kind of type, so it was a bit of a challenge to use the stamps. Luckily, the magazine gave me some inspiration by trying out a gift box. I used a chocolate box as template which I had taken home from an Afternoon Tea in Dubai. Drew it on cardstock, cut it out with my craft knife and stamped the flower background in gold onto it. Finished my little project with gemstones.

Et voilĂ ...

My parents-in-law are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary with us in England this summer. I still need to work on the invitations and table decoration. This would make an elegant (wedding) favour.

May will be a travel month again, leaving me with little time for crafting. Ironically, it's also a busy month for birthdays!

Enjoy your crafty Sunday.

Vintage Blooms freebie make

Back after a much needed break and tackling the last small batch of Easter cards. If only Christmas was so little work, but I seem to be going over the top each year with the amount of Christmas cards made!

Last week, we returned from a short break in the Middle East. It was my third visit to Dubai and we also went to Abu Dhabi this time. The best part of travelling is always coming back home.

I was in a rush this weekend to get my Easter cards ready and made these with this month Quick Cards freebie Vintage Blooms designer paper. The papers inspired me to give quilling a try and make my own flowers. I didn't have a quilling tool and used a matchstick instead. Added a hand stitched border and Spring Wishes free digi from BrossARTaddiction:

Hope you like them!
