Here is a sweet idea...

I'm back with a sweet design idea from Papercraft Inspirations. I picked up so many craft magazines lately which I read over and over again, but I rarely copy designs... but this one I just had to try! I made these Russian Dolls from a mix of Stampin Up! and free papers, cut everything out by hand and decorated them with bows, button and a clay flower.

I inked the edges of the background with Distress Ink, added twine, half pearls and a hand stitched border to keep it simple. Aren't they adorable?

I recently went through my stash and gave lots away to a charity shop. I have another bag of goodies waiting for my crafty friend. She told me that a lady bought the whole lot from the shop the same day I donated it. I'm really pleased to hear that. Needless to say, with less material to pack away, my workspace was cleared in no time!

Back early June with new try-outs.

Make me smile!

After some trial & error with stamping last weekend, I decided to work with some digis which I had kept in my stash for so long. This time, I had a card in mind for friends who need a little cheering up. The idea for this design came from one of my cardmaking magazines. Once I had finished the first card shown here, I realised that the one shown in the magazine features the same sentiment!
I used scraps of free papers, "Heart Owl" digi stamp which you can download for free here and a feather digi from Paper Smooches. The sentiment was stamped with Kaisercraft's Telegraph Road. I inked the edges of the squares with Distress Ink and coloured the images with Promarkers.
How cute is this?

I liked the simple design so much, I decided to make another card using Hunkydory Floral Fantasia papers which came free with Making Cards May issue. My crafty friend Diane bought the magazine as a little gift. The sentiment stamp comes with the latest issue of Cardmaking & Papercraft (it's a stamp set including a teddy). This card will be for my parents-in-law to say thanks for the hard work in our garden.

See you again soon on this blog!

Spring Colours

Here are more Spring Wishes with quilled flowers and Cardmaking & Papercraft's free papers. These came with the flower stamp set used for my gift box. I love the colours and will keep the papers for next year's Easter makes.

Most of my time recently has gone into an album with memories from Dubai. I love doing all sorts of creative things, if only I was paid for it!
Soon back with two cheerful cards!
