Valentine's Box - Panda

+++ News from Urban Moose +++

One of my crafty New Year's resolutions for this year is to send more cards to family and friends just because. I'm still undecided on the other resolutions!

I had the idea of making Valentine's cards for a few chosen friends and family this year. I'm not big into Valentine's Day and I can't think of anyone who would send us a card that day, so I will do exactly this for a change.

So here is my first Valentine's card in a box. I like this technique, these boxes are real quick makes and they fold flat which means I don't need to worry in what state they arrive in the mail! I bought the cute panda digi stamp for design work. I found it in the "male" section of the Digi Stamp Boutique and thought there must be more occasions that I can use it for. Here it is:

I drew and cut out the heart balloons and liked them so much that I used them on another Valentine's design. The panda is supposed to be flying although it looks more like he is barely lifting off because of his weight! I decided to fill the box with grass this time. I have just bought a die for that which I need for another special project. A few punched out hearts are hidden in the grass. I made this box for a couple so had to keep the colours neutral and not go mad with the traditional red (and pink).

Honestly, I was thrilled when this card was finished until I made the next one... which is even cuter, I think. I'll post it here tomorrow.
