Valentine's Box - Teddy

+++ News from Urban Moose +++

Sometimes, I find papers in my stash which I bought because I thought they looked pretty... only I can't find any use for them! It probably happened when I ordered Kaisercraft's Remember Me. The colours were great for male birthday cards but other than that, they have been left untouched.

That all changes with Valentine's Day, of course, as I have no other red papers. I found a cute image of a teddy which belongs to a d├ęcoupage set that was a free gift from a magazine. I'm glad that I kept it! I made this card in a box for someone who likes cute images. The smaller hearts were drawn and cut out by hand and the bigger ones with a cutting die. I d├ęcoupaged the heart balloon which you can't see on this image and used two 1.5 cm wide strips of acetate to hold the teddy firmly in place, using the same technique as done on this Christmas card.

Isn't this one just cute? I wasn't sure how it would turn out as I'm not too fond of the colours, but the papers are great for classic Valentine's makes.

Next, I will share my favourite Valentine's Box which is something rather unusual!
