Back to Basics

Iris folding remains one of my favourite cardmaking techniques. It produces such lovely results and you can use up your paper bits, I'm surprised it isn't featured more often in magazines. Anyhow, if you would like to give it a try, start here by downloading the templates.

Once in a while, I spot some really beautiful bonus papers in craft magazines like these floral and lacey papers from Cardmaking & Papercraft which I keep to make into paper strips.

Here is my first card for a 85th birthday. Somehow, I struggle with older birthdays and the only thing that comes to mind is flowers... which really isn't my cup of tea. So it's flower printed papers for me.

I still have to make a couple of Thank You cards for the presents we received for little Ellie. It will keep me busy for a while as family and friends have been very generous, there are so many people to thank!

Hope you feel inspired to give it a try yourself!
