Last year, we decided to give Ellie's nursery a woodland theme based on the cardmaking trend with foxes. I still like foxes on my cards and Marianne Design's cute critter is one of my favourite dies. It's featured on two of my four designs that were published in Papercraft Inspirations issue 156.

Here are the two speech bubble designs I want to share with you today. I also made two Halloween invites which you can find in Papercraft Inspirations, but I'd like to put the spotlight on Debbie Simpon's creepy Halloween cards. There was a mix-up between us two designers in the magazine and Debbie deserves the credit for the really cool cards she made!

I'm also delighted that one of my favourite designers, Vicky Bailey, is designing for the magazine. I've been following her blog for long and her sweet designs are not to be missed.

So onto my speech bubble cards...

The first card features a simple die-cut scene. If you feel that something is missing in your design, wrap some baker's twine around together with buttons to add detail.

For my second card, I decided to go for a stamped design, using the Altenew "Beautiful Day" stamp set that I'd bought at Ally Pally. If you don't like colouring, try this technique and you'll soon be hooked! In the same issue of Papercraft Inspirations, you'll find a Masterclass from Kay Carley on how to use the Altenew layered stamps.

If you'd like to re-create my designs, you'll find the list of products in "Labels" on top of this post.
